Brass flush frets inlaid in ebony fret board. There are two swing out stabilizers that rest on the players legs as well as a finger rest for the players right hand. Strings are .065",.035",.018" and .016" for a F#F#C#F# tuning

Brass flush frets inlaid in ebony fret board with MOP position markers. The rectangular body is 3 3/4" deep and is constructed from 3/16" Bolivian rosewood or pau ferro. An inverted cone with spider bridge give a distinctive sound.

Parlour Veena

This 20 string resonator veena was built by Grant Wickland,Salt Spring Island, B.C. and is being played by Harry Manx. The neck is full length, constructed of Bolivian rosewood. The fretboard is ebony with MOP position markers.There are 20 Gotoh tuners and Elixir strings picked up with a Lollar tele special pickup in a National hot plate. The body is German Silver built from scratch in my shop.The biscuit bridge has been redesigned to carry the 12 lower sympathetic sitar strings and the upper melody and drone strings. The metal body produces a natural reverb.
